"Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt
you."
(James 4:10)
Not too many of us begin the day committing ourselves to
humility. We are conditioned to be the aggressor in the context of overcoming
challenges that might threaten. Perhaps we miss the point, not that we
shouldn't be overcomers...but maybe it all really begins in humbly asking for
God's guidance, trusting Him to lead our every step.
Prayer: Eternal God, I humble myself before you this day and ask
you to guide my every thought, word, and step. Amen.
